FOCUS INTERNATIONAL SUMMER CAMP

Don't waste your summer going from camp to camp with your children. We offer the best summer camp around.

We start with a healthy ORGANIC LUNCH, after which we warm up with CLASSICAL GUITAR.

We stretch with YOGA after which we play AFRICAN DRUMS and learn a few AFRICAN DANCE steps. We slow down to PAINT with WATER COLORS & WATER OILS, then move to TAIKO DRUMS (big and loud Japanese drums), after which we take a spell to READ interesting stories about what we just did and where did it happen before it came here, to our studio, in other words, the history of disciplines and ART. PUPPET making and puppet shows with children's voiceover. Tribal Dance, Karate, Hip-Hop, Ballroom, Tang So Do, Karate.

At the end of each camp day, there will be SO RIM KUNG FU from KOREA.

Come and join us for a free workshop learning Chinese pronunciation and basic writing. All you need to do is to recognize the different combination of sounds in your own language. Zhu will show you how fun it can be. He’ll offer a 5 session and a 10 session 2 hours course for you to sign up following the workshop. The course will get you ready traveling to China for fun, business, tour, study or help you go through Chinese course in American college.
Zhu Xilin was born in Beijing, China and he speaks perfect official Chinese, because the official Chinese is based on Beijing language, which is called Mandarin in the old days. He has college educations both in China and the US. In the US, he has double bachelor degrees (BS in computer science and BA in Theatre). He has 20 years teaching experience. He is available for group class and private coach.

Thank you everyone for participating in the fantastic showcases at the Library, at Juniper Retirement Home, at Emerald Elementary, at Golden West Assisted Living, and many others. What I hear from everyone is that we are a happy and joyful group of individuals who are real and have fun first. Also that we are true professionals! Bravo everyone!!!!

We are the only studio in town where politics do not govern our lives. We get along and help each other without expecting monetary rewards in return, just enough to pay the rent. We were able to bring together a variety of Martial Arts, Dance and Healing, something that many said was not possible. Anything done with love is possible!

We welcome and encourage participation in our classes from all interested, regardless of their income level.

We sponsor low income families in today's tough economic times and our rewards are plenty when we see the happiness and smiles the children and adults get when they come to our studio!

Every instructor works independently and we form a cooperative of experienced and proud humans whose objective is to teach non-competitive arts that will last a lifetime.

We do encourage participation in public shows, yet we do not force, nor make anyone perform if they do not wish to do so. The shows are a reward and a means to let the community , family and friends know what we are up to, also to promote the instructors' art and teaching talent. Meaning big drums full of life and fun! We sing, dance and play KODO, African, Middle Eastern rhythms and we do it with flare, power, fun and zest! You heard us play at the Boulder Creek Fest and we were goooood! Our first piece, F.U.J.S. (first untitled jam session) was a smash hit!
